MAJOR ARCANA · XX
Judgement
Reckoning as calling, not courtroom. A larger life is asking you to stand up inside the one you already have.
- ELEMENT
- spirit
- NUMBER
- Fool's Journey — completion: reckoning as calling. The horn, not the gavel.
- JOURNEY
- Completion — the work made whole
- SYMBOLS
- an angel with a trumpet, a call that crosses water and grave · a bannered cross on the horn, a summons not a sentence · figures rising from opened boxes, the past answering in new bodies · mountains at the back, the world still there after the call · arms lifted, response as the second half of judgement
UPRIGHT
- +hearing a vocation and answering it
- +honest inventory without self-annihilation
- +a reunion with a self you had postponed
- −self-prosecution that never rests
- −waiting for a cosmic grade instead of a next act
- −judging others as a way not to rise
- IN LOVE
- A reckoning that can be a reunion. Tell the truth. Do not hold a tribunal where a conversation would do.
- IN WORK
- The call to a larger scale of the same gift — or to leave a smallness you had called loyalty.
- IN SELF
- You are being asked to get up. The past is not gone; it is material. Rise with it, not as it.
REVERSED
The trumpet is heard and ignored — or turned into an inner trial with no parole.
- Blocked — the upright current exists and is dammed.
- Shadow — the unused face of the card.
- Internalized — the drama is inner rather than worldly.
Blocked Judgement hits snooze on a calling. Inner Judgement is a private inventory. Shadow Judgement convicts everyone, including you, without repair.
